About Lonnie
Master Chief Lonnie L. Weets was born in Maquoketa, Iowa, and enlisted in the United States Navy in 1983 after completing a Certified Electronic Technician program. Over a distinguished 21-year career, he served across multiple aviation commands and became known for his technical expertise, leadership, and unwavering commitment to mission readiness.

His early assignments included HS-12 aboard the USS Midway, followed by tours with HC-1 and HC-5, where he advanced through the enlisted ranks and earned numerous Navy/Marine Corps Achievement and Commendation Medals. As an Aviation Electronics Technician, he qualified as CDI/CDQAR on multiple platforms, supported major maintenance programs, and deployed across the Pacific while serving in key technical and supervisory roles.

Master Chief Weets later became an instructor at NTTC Pensacola, leading avionics training for Sikorsky H-60 aircraft and managing multi-million-dollar technical programs. He also served as Command DAPA, Financial Specialist, and Program Manager, shaping sailors’ careers through mentorship, discipline, and training excellence. His leadership continued at HS-5 in Jacksonville, where he served as Maintenance Control Supervisor, supported multiple carrier deployments, and was recognized as CWOHSWINGLANT Chief Petty Officer of the Year.

In 2000, he reported to AIMD Mayport as the Command Master Chief and Lead Enlisted Advisor for more than 190 personnel. Throughout this tour, he oversaw 30 work centers, guided major command programs and boards, and played a central role in sailor development and readiness. He retired from active duty in 2004 after more than two decades of impactful service.

In 2009, Master Chief Weets founded Command Emblematic Sales, a company built on the pride, heritage, and craftsmanship of the U.S. Navy. Under his leadership, Command Emblematic Sales has grown into a trusted provider of challenge coins, patches, apparel, signage, and custom merchandise for commands, organizations, and military families across the nation and around the world. The company stands as a reflection of his lifelong dedication to honoring service and supporting the military community.
